Columbia Valley is interchangeable with the name Invermere Valley. Invermere is the main town for all the surrounding areas in the Columbia Valley, so sometimes people called it Invermere Valley.
The Columbia Valley real estate extends from the community of Spillimacheen to the south community of Canal Flats. Other communities in the Columbia Valley are Brisco, Spur Valley, Edgewater, Radium Hot Springs, Panorama, Windermere, Fairmont Hot Springs, and Columere Park.
Columbia Valley Real Estate recent sales returns showed that there is a steady increase in purchases. Thus was initially foreseen and is now evident just recently. It may be since the said valley range is a shared playground to many. Also, a lot of people are very interested in acquiring Real Estate in Columbia Valley BC. What is it in this valley, and why is there a buzz going on purchasing Real Estate Columbia Valley? Let’s find out.
The Columbia Valley is in the southeast corner of British Columbia province. It is also conveniently situated within proximity to the US border. Furthermore, just less than a 3-hour drive from Calgary in Alberta (with plenty of scenic routes on the way).
There are mountainous ranges perfect for skiing, hiking, and biking. Above all, the Columbia Valley has Columbia Lake and the famous Lake Windermere.
The Lake Windermere offers swimming, boating, waterskiing, and windsurfing. It also has sandy beaches which are perfect for picnics and a vast space for children to play. It is also a winter playground for ice skating, fishing, outdoor curling bonspiel, Columbia Valley Rockies hockey tournament, cross country skiing, and more.
The valley also has plenty of hot spring resorts where families like to enjoy all year long. Nearby hot spring resorts are the Radium Hot Springs and the famous Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, which houses two golf courses – twice the fun for golf lovers and enthusiasts out there.
For the ski lovers, mountain resort Panorama Mountain Resort will be there to satisfy one’s skiing, snowboarding, and even tobogganing cravings.
In terms of the community and the resident population outlook, Invermere’s nearby town only houses around 3,500 permanent residents. Another couple of thousand residents are part-time/recreational types. As a result, they just come and go for a short time throughout the year. The community has beautiful boutiques, cafes, and fine dining restaurants. They even have art galleries too.
The Columbia Valley is a vacationer’s paradise. Living in it is a blissful experience. It is most noteworthy that having a real estate property intended for vacations or time off to unwind is a beautiful idea.
