The New Snow Making Technology Comes to Fairmont Hot Springs

The Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in the Columbia Valley of British Columbia has recently invested in a technology specifically designed to make snow. The objective here is to extend the upcoming ski season of 2019-20 that will take place at the resort.

This investment will enable the resort to start its seasons earlier and keep them open up until late in the spring. The CEO of the Resort, Vivek Sharma, states that this new technology will double the first-class snow creation capacity.

The New Snow Making System

This technology is commonly used for mega-events like the Olympic Games. The resort management will be able to create snow even in warmer conditions. The resort will be open for service earlier and will remain open later in the spring, and will be able to produce a lot more consistent conditions for snow in the following years.

The Ski Area Manager for the Fairmont Hot Spring Resort, Peter Harding, recalls when the original snowmaker system was installed here back in 1979. He says that the new system will provide the junior and novice teams to practice for the upcoming season before time.

The ski area of the Fairmont Hot Spring Resort is ideal for all abilities and ages. He says that he himself has taught to ski several kids who come back as adults with their own kids. With the new snowmaking system, the resort will continue to welcome new generations for many years to come.
